In
the great big world of rock and roll, Detroit is a city known
for its gritty garage sound. Local rags are teaming with pictures
of bands in worn jeans and clever t-shirts, leaning pensively
against brick walls...each hoping to resurrect the spirit of
the MC5 or become the next White Stripes. Bazooka Jones is not
one of these bands.
Blending the best of raw garage rock and well crafted power pop,
Bazooka Jones have created a deliberately trashy form of rock & roll that
is proud of its own disposability. Three and a half members, playing three
and a half chords for three and a half, hook-laden minutes at a time.
Like a rock and roll class clown, Bazooka Jones is the band you hate to love.
